These compositions delineate my own kind of picture-writing transformational imagery using
the pen and the brush. Through research, and studying the subjects of art, I was able to compose individuated, free-form design structures to express the personalities of those being honored, as well as attend to my clients' purposes for

A Wedding Testimonial of Brian and Julie's marriage vows, accompanied by the witness signatures of family members and friends.

I composed a montage of scenic symbolism that reflects the bride and groom's love for their home State of Maine, their alma mater, Bowdoin College, the Jefferson Memorial on the National Mall, and of cherry blossoms blooming in the Spring time.

U. S. Secretary of State from 2001-2005, and for his career military service in the United States Army, where he achieved
the rank of four-star General

In preparation for creating art, I learned more about his whole life. A few of these colorful illuminations are depicting:

•  the Purple Heart Medal (Powell earned two
   Purple Hearts for military service in Vietnam)
•  flag of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
•  an old 1965 Volvo, in need of repair
•  five stars--representing the non-negotiable
   obligations to America's children by the
   non-profit organization, America's Promise
•  intwined circles representing Colin Powell by
   his home State of New York, his wife, Alma
   Johnson Powell, by her home State of Alabama,
   their married life and their careers, as linked
   by the U.S. Army
•  Powell's family home, during his first seven years
   of life, was on Morningside Avenue in Harlem, NY
•  his daugher, Linda, on her bicycle
•  flag of Jamaica and its outline
